Description
*To operate this product, you will need the separately sold PSU-1 (TG CHANNEL dedicated power supply).
[Chandler Limited TG2] An official reproduction of the "Beatles preamp" authorized by Abbey Road Studios.
The TG2 is a 2-channel microphone preamp/DI that is a faithful reproduction of the head amplifier of the EMI TG12428 console that was used at EMI/ABBEY ROAD STUDIO from the late 1960s to the 1970s.
EMI's TG console is deeply engraved in rock classics such as The Beatles' "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon," both recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
The TG2 features all-discrete, class AB circuitry and balanced Carnhill (St. Ives) input and output transformers, delivering the same organic, distinctive sound as the original.
This time, we will be introducing [CHANDLER LIMITED TG2 B2B (BACK TO BASICS)]
The "TG2 B2B" is a Japan-exclusive upgrade certified by Chandler that takes advantage of the TG's unique sound while offering versatile use and enhanced sound.
Specifically, by increasing the number of capacitors connected in parallel after the input transformer, the low frequencies do not roll off even at high gain, achieving a flatter frequency response while maintaining the TG2 sound.
The TG2 B2B is compatible with the standard TG2, and the B2B mode function is switched using the DI switch on the front panel, allowing you to switch between the modified and B2B modes. Also, the MIC/DI switching is achieved by physically connecting to the DI input on the front panel.
Furthermore, the "TG2 B2B" has undergone meticulous "vibration-damping modifications to the wiring and circuit board" by our distributor's technicians. Because the TG2 is an all-discrete unit, it is susceptible to the effects of vibrations from the wiring and circuit board, but by installing vibration-damping fixation work and suspension (cushion) in these areas, the core of the overall sound is strengthened, resulting in a more stable sound.
This is the conclusion we came up with in pursuit of better sound without compromising the worldview of the TG2.
