The four composite materials used -- the A5052 aluminum alloy that makes up the top and bottom discs, the chrome-plated brass weights, the EPDM rubber weight spacers that convert vibrations into thermal energy, and the carbon FRP -- disperse vibration modes and eliminate unwanted vibrations that interfere with analog playback.
