Description
Product Features: Tight cardioid pattern with no off-axis coloration. Immune to extreme sound pressure levels. Rugged construction. Excellent feedback resistance and high rear rejection (180°).
-Built-in pop screen -Very low handling noise
This handheld microphone delivers quality comparable to a recording microphone for live performances. It's also the microphone of choice for many vocalists, including Norah Jones. Its superior sound makes it a must-have for recording.
Instead of the urethane foam windscreens found in most vocal microphones, which tend to attenuate high-frequency components, this microphone uses a unique four-layer mesh open-type windscreen. Additionally, a meticulously designed filter effectively eliminates pop noise and handling noise while maintaining excellent sound transmission.
The amp features a DC-polarized studio condenser capsule, specifically tuned for vocals, capturing every nuance and sense of power. Its standard cardioid characteristics, excellent response, and extremely high gain make it easy to use on stage.
The KMS 104 offers the ruggedness required for stage microphones, dispelling the myth that condenser microphones are "fragile." The KMS 104 can withstand enormous sound pressure levels of up to 150 dB without clipping, and its tight, frequency-independent cardioid pattern ensures high gain before feedback. It offers a much smoother frequency response and airier top end than dynamic microphones. Its exceptionally excellent transient response results in a more immediate, emotional vocal sound. In practical terms, it offers easy clarity and even greater resistance to feedback, even without the usual EQ boosts.
Optimized for close-micing on stage. A fixed low-cut filter compensates for the proximity effect, ensuring clear bass even when the singer's lips are on the microphone. The headgrille is made of hardened steel and includes a highly effective pop screen to prevent moisture from escaping the capsule. These acoustic filters do not cause sibilance issues. The head amplifier is protected by a thick housing. The transformerless output minimizes hum and other electromagnetic interference. The output impedance is only 50 ohms, allowing it to drive ultra-long cable runs of up to 300 meters (1000 feet) without transmission loss.
