Warburton
PETE Personal Embouchure Training Exerciser

It was developed as a practice tool for wind instrument players.
By using it correctly and without strain, you can train your embouchure.

PETE is a training device.
This is a very useful item for making training a daily routine.
This training will reduce lip fatigue while playing and prevent your embouchure from collapsing while you play.

Exercise 1
Place the disc-shaped end of the PETE between your lips and teeth and gently pull the tapered end forward with your thumb and index finger.
At this time, use the muscles around your lips to resist pulling it out of your mouth.
However, be sure to adjust the amount of force you use so as not to use too much force.
If you feel your lips getting hot from this action, take a short break.

Exercise 2
Hold the thin cylindrical end of the PETE between your lips, hold the disc-shaped end, and use the muscles around your lips to tighten and apply pressure from all directions.
*You don't have to keep PETE on your lips alone.
The key action here is to focus your force towards your core.

"PETE" dramatically activates the muscles around the lips
PETE is a tool that promotes activation of the muscles around the lips, which is essential for wind instrument players.
There are two ways to use it. The first is to place the large disc between your lips and teeth, pull it with your hand, and hold it down with just your lips to exercise the muscles around your lips and cheeks.
Another way to use it is to hold PETE upside down and place the smaller end between your lips and teeth, supporting PETE with just your lips, which will train the muscles above and below your lips.
Because it has such a strong training effect, it's important to use it sparingly.
One or two training sessions per day is sufficient, with each session lasting no more than 10-15 seconds.
A tip for training is to always take a 5-10 minute break after doing pulling exercises using a large disc.
Then, use the smaller side on the other side to practice supporting PETE with just your lips.
Another thing to keep in mind is to use moderate pulling force.
It's extremely effective, but it's important not to overdo it.
