This model is a special instrument, custom-ordered and manufactured by Martin's Custom Shop, which boasts their top-tier team of craftsmen.
The sides and back are made of magnificent Hawaiian koa wood with a beautiful curly sheen.
Our staff also occasionally select wood at the Martin factory, but in recent years it has been extremely rare to see koa with such fine curly grain.
This is a watch with such an overwhelming presence that it makes you think it might cost around 1 million yen if you were to order it now.
This unit was manufactured in 2011, so the specifications of each part are based on the standard series from that time.
Other features include a 42.9mm wide neck and Gotoh tuners, enhancing playability. The neck and headstock are finished in a glossy paint, giving it a rich and sophisticated look.
The non-scalloped bracing and the weight of the koa wood provide a solid foundation for the playing, while the brilliant overtones that are characteristic of Martin's signature sound harmonize the whole, resulting in a well-balanced tone that fully brings out the character of the wood.
This guitar has a great tone and responds quickly even to light picking, making it an excellent choice for both strumming and fingerpicking styles.
From the outside, it looks like a D-28, but to the player, the exquisite core peeks out—this model strikes the perfect balance, giving it a subtle elegance.
This is a wonderful item that allows you to enjoy the art created by nature in your own pocket.
