DINGWALL NG-3 6st Adam Nolly Getgood Signature Model (Blueberry)

The highly popular NG-3 model is now available in a 6-string version, featuring a limited edition "Blueberry" color! Only available in Japan at Ikebe!

Dingwall has impressed first-call bassist Lee Sklar, who has participated in recordings and live performances with numerous famous artists, and has earned high praise from discerning bassists around the world for its distinctive FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, body balance, and pickup placement.

The simple combination of an alder body and maple neck produces an open resonance, while Dingwall's characteristic pickup configuration switching allows for a wide range of tonal shaping, from crisp, solid sounds to thick, powerful, and punchy tones. Combined with a Darkglass preamp, the sound is thick and resonant, with a tight, solid midrange that leaves a strong impression.
Furthermore, the NG-3 allows for a wide range of sound shaping options, including front only, front and rear, center and rear, and rear only.

The scale length starts at 37 inches for the 6th string (B string), the 2nd string (G string) is 34 inches (the same as a regular bass), and the 1st string (Hi-C) is 33.25 inches, employing a FANNED-FRET SYSTEM. This ensures well-balanced tension and a solid tone across all strings, and the tight vibration of the low B string provides a well-defined sound, which is a major appeal of this instrument.

Fanned frets are a technology that has already begun to be adopted by many other brands under the name of multi-scale, and they are designed to follow a natural movement that does not strain the arm, so when you play without thinking about the angle, it is surprisingly easy to play, and the body balance makes you not feel the ultra-long 37-inch scale at all.

This shipment features neck binding, which not only enhances the design but also offers several advantages, such as improved visibility of the side dots, prevention of fret burrs, and increased resistance to warping by combining different materials in the neck.

In addition, our experienced staff can guide you through customization options such as adding mini switches and attaching strap pins to the back of the body, similar to the options available for Canadian-made models. Please feel free to inquire if you are interested.
