A recommended used Fender Custom Shop 2021 Limited Edition 1961 Stratocaster Heavy Relic! This is a 2023 production model (additional production run).
This guitar features an overcoat finish and a striking Aged Black over 3-Tone Sunburst finish!

The Fender Custom Shop is a section established in 1987 to create the finest guitars under the Fender brand, using carefully selected materials from the wood sourced by Fender and employing traditional handcrafting techniques and advanced manufacturing methods. Inheriting the long-standing tradition and technology of Fender, this section offers a lineup of truly top-of-the-line instruments, including one-of-a-kind models like the Masterbuilder Series, assembled by a limited number of staff.
Many of the tools used in their production are the same ones that were used back then. The instruments, created with the meticulous attention to detail of staff who are intimately familiar with Fender guitar know-how, boast the finest quality and sound to satisfy the player, and will become a reliable companion that you can cherish for a lifetime.

This is a special limited edition model available only at the Spring Event (business meeting) held in the spring of 2021! It is an additional production run (manufactured in 2023) of the 2021 limited edition model. (2021 Spring Event LTD)
This limited edition model is based on the 1961 model, which featured a rosewood fingerboard. The body is made of alder wood, specially selected for Custom Shop products, and has been relic-treated with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish to give it the appearance of being heavily used on live stages. You can experience a rich, full acoustic sound and a vintage-like tone that replicates the aging process, something you can't get with NOS models.

The neck is made of roasted quarter-sawn maple, which has been heat-treated and dried to produce even greater rigidity and a clearer sound. You can fully enjoy the crystal-clear resonance of the neck!

The fingerboard is made of dense, high-quality rosewood. The fingerboard is glued using a slab construction, and the position markers are clay dots that replicate the look of aged wood. The neck shape is a comfortable 60s Style Oval C shape, with a grip shape that is thinner in the lower positions and thicker towards the higher positions. The neck finish is a heavy relic finish with a large section of material removed from the back of the neck. The fingerboard radius is a flat 9.5R, and the frets are narrow-sized #6105, giving it modern specifications. The bridge is a synchronized tremolo with a PAT.PEND. stamped saddle, and the machine heads are vintage-style Kluson tuners, ensuring a vintage sound!

Among Fender products, which are characterized by the clear acoustic resonance of their bolt-on construction, the relic finish models with rosewood fingerboards boast a thick, resonant, and wonderful acoustic sound! While NOS models have a tight sound with emphasized mid-high frequencies, relic finish models produce a thick, mellow, and airy sound! Just playing one chord produces such a wonderful resonance that you can fully feel the vibration of the body and neck!
The overwhelming natural resonance, even without amplification, produces a comfortable and satisfying sound that makes you want to play it forever—a quality that can only be obtained from a custom shop.

The pickups that produce this sound are three hand-wound "Hand-Wound Fat 60s" single-coil pickups. While retaining the attack characteristic of the Fat series, the sound boasts a punchy low-mid range reminiscent of the 60s! The middle pickup is reverse-wound and reverse-polarity (RWRP), providing hum-canceling in the mixed position. This allows for noise reduction during playing, similar to a humbucker.

The controls utilize a VINTAGE MODIFIED STRAT #2. The volume control features a BLEED custom based on a high-pass capacitor combining a ceramic capacitor and a resistor, while the tone control uses FENDER paper wax capacitors matched to each position. The BLEED custom allows for volume reduction while maintaining the mid-high frequencies. This results in excellent volume control, enabling gain control such as lead sounds at full volume, backing tones around 7, and clean tones below 5. Compared to typical high-pass capacitors, the tone retains some of the mid-range without becoming too thin. The tone control capacitors are selected with appropriate values for each position of the neck & middle tone and bridge tone, resulting in an appealing sound not only when the filter is at full volume but also when the tone is cut. The way the tone is connected to the bridge pickup balances the tone with the neck & middle pickup is also superb!

The body finish utilizes an overcoat finish, a technique also found in vintage guitars! This exquisite model features a 3-Tone Sunburst base coat and a dignified Aged Black overcoat. Combined with the superb heavy relic treatment, it boasts an undeniable stage presence!

At first glance, it might be mistaken for a vintage model, but it's a fantastic, ready-to-use model that combines a highly playable neck design, modern internal wiring, and the resonance produced by wood materials and hardware that create a vintage sound!
This is a must-have item that combines a classic look with cutting-edge technology on par with racing cars!

We've just received some highly recommended, high-quality used items!
This guitar has a heavy relic finish, so it's difficult to determine if there are any scratches that may have been added later, but overall it shows minimal signs of wear and is in beautiful condition! There are no issues with its playability at present. We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is in excellent condition and ready to use.

The neck had a slight tendency to bounce upwards, so we leveled the frets to align the peaks. There are no issues with its current use. Approximately 90% of the frets remain. The nut is also in good working order for normal use. The truss rod is also in good working order for normal adjustments.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.

The weight is approximately 3.58 kg. It strikes a perfect balance, making it easy to use while still producing a solid, focused sound.

Accessories include a brown hard case, keys, certificate of authenticity, spec sheet, and bridge cover.

Don't miss this opportunity!
