Description
S-622CS Heritage
Nitrocellulose lacquer, semi-gloss finish
Heritage uses nitrocellulose lacquer as a top coat. The semi-gloss finish has a texture somewhere between a high-gloss finish and a satin finish, giving you the feeling of playing a guitar you've been familiar with from the moment you pick it up.
Growl-Bore Up Pickup
It features a Growl-Bore Up Set, combining the bright and powerful tone of the Growl single-coil pickup with the clear and powerful Bore Up humbucker. Each guitar is handcrafted, from bobbin assembly to coil winding, using the most suitable materials from available stock, including custom-made magnets and Made in USA MWS coils. The sound changes more dramatically with age than typical guitars, evolving to its ideal tone after six months to a year of playing. This guitar embodies the culmination of SAITO GUITARS' knowledge and experience in restoring countless vintage guitars.
CCS-SSH control
At first glance, it appears to be a simple 1 Volume-2 Tone control, but the single-coil and humbucker tones are independently positioned. The single-coil tone uses a 250kΩ pot and a 0.1uF capacitor, while the humbucker tone uses a 500kΩ pot and a 0.022uF capacitor, combining parts that match the output of each pickup. In normal mode, the humbucker has tone control, but by pushing the tone knob, the humbucker switches to single-coil mode while bypassing the humbucker's tone circuit, allowing for an instant switch to a circuit very close to a typical 3S layout.
Shielding treatment with tone control in mind
Shielding is generally performed as a noise reduction measure, but the thickness and material of the shielding material have a significant impact not only on noise reduction but also on sound quality. The S-622CS uses materials of various thicknesses, carefully selected to be the most suitable.
This instrument can be described as a "tool" that prioritizes playability as a musical instrument, so please consider it at this opportunity.
*Regarding the condition, there are no noticeable dents or damage to the frets, and approximately 80% or more remains. The truss rod also has plenty of adjustment range.
The electrical system is in good working order, and the guitar shows relatively little signs of use, with only a few shallow scratches. However, there is a small area on the lower center of the back of the body where the paint appears to be lifting, approximately 13mm in diameter.
*Please refer to the photos for any particularly noticeable large scratches or damage.
Accessories: Original gig bag, tremolo arm, spec sheet
*Please note that items handled at our reuse stores are pre-owned and only one of each is available. Therefore, we will prioritize customers who place an order.
Please be aware of this beforehand when making inquiries or requesting reservations.
