Three Dots Guitars basses were founded with the concept of providing instruments that offer the playability and reliability to be used immediately in professional settings, and at an accessible price. This high-cost-performance model, completed under the supervision of bassist Tak Saito, who is deeply involved with the workshop, and Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, one of Japan's leading luthiers, has been renewed with a refreshed headstock and position markers. The headstock shape adopts the design of "Kikuchi Guitars," further evolving as a sister brand. Furthermore, it features an ash body, a first for a passive model. The combination with a rosewood fingerboard produces a clear, dry tone with a sound that envelops the bass.

While inheriting the traditional JB style, this model incorporates the skills and sensibilities cultivated by Mr. Kikuchi, resulting in a model that is "cost-effective yet usable in professional settings." The body embodies the "just right" feel, being slightly larger than a full-size dinky shape, while the grip and fingerboard radius are standard, but the string height is set at a low angle to accommodate modern playing styles. The parts are chosen to maintain tightness while considering weight and sustain, resulting in specifications that inherit the traditional style while also being easy to use in modern times. These were selected and produced after thorough comparisons with a vintage JB owned by Tak Saito, with the theme of "a sound that is on par with vintage in live settings." The most significant feature is the pickup, which was specially made for this model. It is a meticulously crafted part that was completed after dozens of prototypes and tests by Tak Saito and Mr. Kikuchi. While faithfully reproducing the sound of the instrument itself, it achieves a clear attack, a robust presence that doesn't get lost in the ensemble, and low noise, making a big impact even with its simple specifications. The high-quality setup also boasts overwhelmingly stress-free playability and excellent intonation, needless to say.
Rather than gimmicky or unique specifications, the brand's strong commitment is evident in its starting point: a simple passive-style JB. With a thick sound that sets it apart from typical vintage reissues, this brand/model has already established a significant presence as a practical model for players.
