Description
This is a used 1985 Fender Japan ST-type guitar with a No Brand neck and body.

The relatively thin neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and an overhang (stamped "STD-62" on the neck end, neck date 1.24.85), and the body appears to be made of sen wood. Based on the shape of the pickup cavity, it is presumed to be a copy of a Japanese brand's ST model.

Currently, at the 12th fret, the string gauge is 1.6mm for the 1st string and 1.8mm for the 6th string, with no buzzing or other issues. It is set up in a practical condition.

Around 1980, Japanese guitar manufacturers used sen wood as a substitute for ash wood, but as its advantage as a domestically produced, inexpensive material diminished, it is now rarely seen.

It has a neutral and straightforward sound with slightly rounded highs and a well-balanced midrange, making it suitable for both direct connection to an amp and use with effects pedals.

With its just-right, natural aging process giving it a nice, aged look, this unit is definitely worth considering.

*Regarding the condition, approximately 60% of the frets remain, and the truss rod has plenty of adjustment range.
The electrical system is in good working order, but there is a gouge on the fretboard, significant paint damage overall, and corrosion and tarnishing on the metal parts.

*The back panel is missing. The bridge is a Fender synchronized tremolo bridge, the pickups are DiMarzio, and the tuners are Gotoh locking type. The manufacturers of the various small parts are unknown.
