Description
Description
Fujii Guitars is a guitar brand created by luthier Keisuke Fujii, who has his workshop in Toyama Prefecture.
After starting his career under the renowned Japanese craftsman Kenji Sugita, he became independent in 2012.
He has rapidly risen to prominence and can be considered one of Japan's leading manufacturers today.
The delicate and highly musical sound born from exceptional technique, combined with the simple yet sophisticated design that brings out the beauty of the wood, is truly unique. It has earned high praise from professional musicians both in Japan and abroad.
This is Fujii's masterpiece nylon-string model, titled "Jazz Nylon."
As the title "Jazz Nylon" suggests, this guitar is made with a different approach than a typical classical guitar, making it a classical guitar that electric and acoustic guitar players can play without any problems.
The OO (double-O) size is easy to hold and well-balanced, and it features Fujii's signature slant cutaway.
With a nut width of 48mm, a string spacing of 55mm at the bridge, an exquisite neck shape that is neither too thin nor too thick, and a low string action, this guitar offers comfortable playability.
The 12-fret joint body provides a rich, resonant tone, and the slanted cutaway, which extends to around the 15th fret, allows for comfortable playing even in the higher positions.
This guitar features a Western Red Cedar top, Indian Rosewood sides and back, a Spanish Cedar neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The finish is a very thin layer of shellac, carefully applied in multiple layers, allowing you to fully appreciate the beautiful natural expression and resonance of the wood, which is characteristic of Mr. Fujii's guitars.
This guitar, with its cedar top and gut strings, boasts a soft, sweet, and deeply resonant tone. It responds quickly to picking, and its superb craftsmanship ensures it accurately captures the player's subtle nuances, from fast-paced single notes to mellow, chord-filled ballads.
As the title suggests, this instrument can be enjoyed not only for jazz, but also for pop, ballads, and fingerstyle solo guitar.
To allow you to enjoy the instrument's natural resonance, we intentionally had it manufactured without a pickup.
We can also install your preferred pickup, so please feel free to contact us for more information.
I am always amazed by their unique sensibility and solid technical skills, which maximize the potential of the wood and then transform it into a musical sound.
Please take this opportunity to experience the wonderful qualities of this instrument, which can only be truly appreciated by seeing it and hearing it play.
