The following is a quote from the new product page:

The D-28 is the world's standard acoustic guitar model, and it goes without saying that it is a classic.
This model has been a long-selling best-seller for decades, with its basic style remaining unchanged, but it has now undergone a major model change.

Introduced at the 2017 Summer NAMM, the D-28 blends the guitar's rich history with modern innovation.
The combination of open-gear tuners, an aged toner top, antique white accents, a tortoiseshell pickguard, and a new neck profile offers D-28 enthusiasts a vintage look with a modern feel and comfortable playability.
In addition, by adopting forward-shifted bracing, we have succeeded in achieving greater vibration at the top.

"Central to the post-World War II folk and folk-rock movement that reached its peak in the 1960s, the D-28 had a slightly different look than its predecessors," said Chris Martin, Chairman and CEO of Martin Guitars, "We took the best features from both my grandfather's and my father's D-28s."

The new D-28 features a forward shift non-scalloped brace!
This is a feature not available in existing models, and it gives the impression of outputting a good balance between sound spread and definition!

Come experience the charm of the Standard model!
