Freedom Custom Guitar Research is a highly trusted musical instrument craftsmanship studio, highly regarded by professional bassists. Their original models, such as the DULAKE and RHINO, are recognized both in Japan and overseas for their technical expertise and sonic essence. This instrument is the Blowzer, an entirely new, original design.

Equipped with an original PB pickup, it combines a fierce attack with a thick, warm sound, and high playability that is suitable for bassists of various playing styles. It also features a newly designed original body shape with a symmetrical end that is compact and easy to handle, a heelless cut joint that allows for excellent playability in the high positions, and an original machined solid brass bass bridge that produces a bottom end with long sustain and clear intonation.

Another point that cannot be overlooked when talking about Freedom Bass is its beautiful finish. For this instrument, I ordered "Black...green?" from the "The Blacks" series in the color chart. At first glance, it may look like black, but when light hits it, a green peeks out, a color unique to this brand. The finish is so beautiful that it would be a shame to simply describe it as deep or dark green.

The quality and sound of the instrument itself are also of the utmost importance. Our workshop, renowned for being one of the best in Japan, produces a rich tone, rich resonance, and a sensitive response that responds perfectly to the player's movements, making this a truly outstanding instrument for expressive expression. The neck, in particular, is particularly eye-catching. The traditional alder body delivers a warm, resilient tone with a large, responsive mid-low range, resulting in a truly premium bass that delivers a truly exceptional sound. This instrument also features a new optional PB pickup for the bridge pickup, allowing for a well-balanced sound when used together, or for each pickup to sound unique and inspire new imaginations. The bridge PB pickup alone delivers a particularly outstanding sound, boasting the power of an MM pickup and the sensitivity of a J pickup, while delivering the thick, fat sound and punchy attack of a PB microphone, creating a sound that doesn't feel thin like a bridge pickup alone. The low B strings, perfectly balanced with the other strings, are also a key feature of the Freedom sound. The original bridge, crafted from solid brass with just the right amount of weight, delivers long sustain and a clear, intoned bottom end, even with just the PB pickup.
