This pre-owned 1958 Les Paul features a premium top selected by Ikebe staff in 2013! We highly recommend this high-quality pre-owned guitar! It features a maple top carefully selected by our staff at the Gibson Nashville Factory!
This is a locally selected 1958 Les Paul with a faintly swaying figured grain that shows different expressions depending on the angle you look at it from, sure to satisfy any Les Paul fan!

The serial number history in the product listing data within Ikebe Musical Instruments confirms that this is a Hand Selected Model.
The Hand Selected certification began to be attached around mid-2013. This particular guitar did not originally have one, but it is undoubtedly a Hand Selected item, with the wood having been selected on-site by Ikebe staff at the Gibson Nashville Factory.

The 1958 Les Paul, also known as a Player's Historic, features a plain maple top in the catalog model, and the rugged look of the plain top is very popular. However, this model features a figured maple top, giving it a look that rivals the 1959 Les Paul and a different appeal from the plain top! It's also an extremely attractive model, with an excellent price point that offers excellent value for money. This is a masterpiece that was highly popular even at the time, both in terms of looks and material quality!

In 2013, the Historic Collection Les Paul underwent various minor changes, bringing it closer to a more vintage look! The main changes for 2013 are listed below.

■Minor change in 2013

・Changed to New Kluson Deluxe Green Keys ・Adopted Anilline Dye Finish for the back color (58, 59, 60)

- Custom Bucker pickups - Neck and body binding changed to a new dark cream color - Tubeless truss rod, just like the vintage model - Hide Glue Neck Fit

By changing the pickup to a dry-sounding Custom Bucker, as well as changing the back color and pegs, it creates a completely different atmosphere in both sound and looks from the previous model!
This model comes from a time when Historic Collection Les Pauls were gaining a tighter sound and tone, thanks to the adoption of long studs, which were first introduced in the 2012 Factory Burst series in late 2012.
You can enjoy a rockish sound and tone that is just the right balance of tightness and richness!

The following year, in 2014, the Historic Collection Les Paul was given an even more vintage look with the adoption of hide glue to glue the fingerboard, but sales of the series will end with the release of the True Historic series in 2015.
Then, around 2016, reissues were made with the Historic Collection specifications, which had been discontinued in 2014. Standard Historic models with serial numbers starting with "R" were released, and in 2018, the True Historic model was discontinued. The Historic Collection, which inherited True Historic parts and Custom Buckers, was restarted and continues to this day!

The neck shape is the classic 1958 Les Paul fat 50s Rounded Medium C-Shape, giving you the fat neck resonance and tone you expect from a 1958 Les Paul!

We have a recommended high-quality used item in stock! It was made in 2013.
The Anilline Dye Finish, which was adopted for the entire binding this year, has a red stain on the back due to aging, but this does not affect playability.
There are some minor scratches, light scratches and sticker marks on the pickguard, and some tarnish on parts, but overall it's in excellent condition with minimal signs of use! There are no issues with playability. *Please note that due to the nature of the VOS series finish, scratches and rust are likely to occur on the paint and parts.
There are cracks inside the rear volume and tone knobs, but this does not affect operation at this time.

We have performed full maintenance and cleaning at our store, so you can use it immediately.

The frets are in good condition and are almost intact. The nut is also in good condition and can be used as is. The truss rod can be adjusted normally.

The electrical system has been fully checked and there are no problems with operation.

The weight is approximately 4.14 kg, which is a balance that allows you to enjoy the solid sound and tone that is truly typical of a Les Paul!

Accessories include the original hard case, key, certificate, Gibson Gold Warranty, and serial number tag.
