Description
Description
This cherry blossom model is exclusive to the 2025 One Day Guitar Show, and uses cherry blossoms from Kurotaki Village, Nara Prefecture for the back and sides.
Inspired by the thousand cherry trees of Mount Yoshino, adjacent to Kurotaki Village, the guitar is dotted with blossoming cherry trees. It also incorporates motifs associated with Nara, such as the Japanese robin, the prefectural bird, and deer antlers, allowing the guitar to express the story of the materials used throughout.
[Mount Yoshino with its thousand cherry blossoms in full bloom and a woman holding a Japanese umbrella]
The centerpiece of the body bag, made of Indian rosewood, features a design of Mount Yoshino, where a thousand cherry blossoms bloom, and a woman standing on the path with a Japanese umbrella. The long, distant line of cherry blossoms stretching up the mountain represents the height of spring.
[Decoration related to Nara]
The sound hole cover incorporates the design of Kinpu Shrine on Mount Yoshino, with the official approval of the Nara Tourism Association.
The body top is painted with a sumi-e-style cherry blossom design, inspired by ink, a specialty of Nara. The Nara-related decorations bring the story of the material to the guitar.
[The beauty of Kazuno and cherry blossoms]
The head is decorated with a design that combines deer antlers, a symbol of Nara, with cherry blossoms, creating a harmonious blend of Japanese elegance and natural beauty.
[Robin standing on a cherry blossom branch]
The fingerboard inlay features a branch decorated with Nara cherry blossoms and double cherry blossoms, with a robin gracefully perched on the branch.
[Flying cherry blossom petals]
The pickguard is adorned with cherry blossom petals that dance upward toward the headstock.
The design resembles flower petals dancing in the wind, giving the entire guitar a sense of elegance and dynamism. [The sound hole label is made with traditional handmade Japanese paper from Fukunishi Washi Honpo]
Fukunishi Washi Honpo, a company based in Yoshino Town, produces each sheet of handmade washi paper, preserving the traditional techniques of the past. This traditional handmade washi paper, woven into the modern era, is used for the soundhole label on this model. The design, inspired by the Yoshino Senbonzakura cherry blossoms, further enhances the value of this model.
[Uses the latest structure in the ATB series]
Headway's thinnest ever Extra Slim U Neck
This neck overturns the image of a traditional Headway neck with its "Extra Slim U Neck," which emphasizes thinness. The Headway neck's signature stability has been taken into consideration, and the "high-strength neck" specification, which incorporates a carbon bar, enhances rigidity. The carbon bar not only improves stability, but also reduces unnecessary neck flex, allowing string vibrations to be transmitted smoothly to the top of the body, improving high-frequency expression.
[Semi-forward shifted bracing]
This guitar inherits the unique bracing developed by Headway master builder Yasuo Momose after studying the bracing of a vintage guitar made in 1934. The X cross position is a semi-forward shift closer to the sound hole, resulting in better bass response and a fuller tone than when new. The position is about 5mm closer to the bridge than the forward shift, which also takes into consideration the stability of the top.
