Description
Description
The guitar we have in stock this time was shipped around 1978 and features a popular sunburst-colored ash body and rosewood fingerboard.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.5 kg. The body is made of ash. Like other major models, it features the "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss" finish, a beautiful three-tone sunburst color with reddish areas fading to orange. Pick scratches are visible under the pickguard, suggesting the guitar was used without the pickguard. The serial number sticker appears to have been removed at that time. There are dents with peeling paint, burnt areas from the shielded cord, and tarnished metal parts, but the guitar remains in relatively good condition. The pickup and control cavities are coated with conductive paint to reduce noise.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. While there are a few dents on the back of the neck, the condition is relatively good, just like the body. The tuners are Schaller F-keys, and while there is some variation in winding tightness, they function well. The frets and nut show some wear, but there is no significant choking or clogging. The headstock is 14.4mm thick. The nut width is 41.0mm. The neck features a relatively firm shape with a slight V-shape, unique to this period.
[Electrical system]
The controls include a high-pass filter that retains treble when the volume is turned down, and current wiring that allows for a pickup mix position. It features a 3-way pickup selector (neck/mix/bridge), volume, and tone. The pickups and other controls remain faithfully original to the original. The bridge position offers a sharp, crisp tone typical of the late 1970s, while the neck position offers a moderately thick yet dry, well-defined texture. The mix position offers an exquisite balance of hard attack and warmth, creating a sound typical of this period.
