Description
Description
Jointly developed by Selmer and Bambu, the well-known manufacturer of string ligatures! This string ligature is designed to combine high rigidity, precision adjustment, and long-term durability.
The concept comes from a homage to the German wire ligature, which has been loved by players for many years and brings out pure vibrations by minimizing the contact surface with the reed.
It fits perfectly with any mouthpiece or reed, providing excellent response and maximizing the player's expressiveness.
Once you have set the optimum tension, the flexibility of the cord itself makes it easy to attach and detach without having to operate the slider.
[Acoustic characteristics]
- The reed's responsiveness makes it particularly effective in attacks and staccatos.
- It is very easy to pronounce low notes.
- Achieves consistent sound across the entire range, making the entire instrument feel more balanced.
-Round, solid tone with rich, harmonious overtones.
- Provides flexibility and stable control in all dynamics and styles.
[Strength and Flexibility] -NAUTICAL BRAIDED CORD-
The carefully selected nautical cord (a durable braided rope primarily used in marine applications such as ships) maintains its shape even after long-term use and provides stable grip. Its flexible structure allows it to fit naturally to the mouthpiece and reed, applying uniform pressure to the entire reed.
This high-strength braided polyester cord has a diameter of 2mm, but the breaking load per strand is 100kg and the elongation rate at maximum load is 7%.
[Precision and Elegance] ZAMAK (zinc-aluminum-magnesium-copper alloy) slider
The custom-designed slider, which features Selmer Paris' iconic "S" logo laser-engraved in black, is die-cast using Zamak (an alloy of zinc, aluminum, magnesium, and copper) and is hand-polished to a perfect luster.
The satin finish is protected by an epoxy lacquer baked at 200°C.
