FAQ

Description

Light - that is darkness. Everything that lasts and everything that fades.
That is the world that Sunlight creates.
The mutual attraction between input and output.
Possibility of reproduction.
Some lines spiral, some go straight.
It never intersects.
Expanding, contracting, and expanding again.
It feels like the Big Bang happened yesterday.

[Light reverb created by modulation]
The basis of Sunlight is a reverb sound that oscillates with modulation. Adjusting TIME produces a chorus or flanger, adjusting FREQ produces a moving filter, and adjusting WET produces a tremolo effect. These can also be combined.
The LFO that generates the modulation lets you select the waveform in addition to the DEPTH and RATE. You can also choose a random waveform or a waveform that oscillates unsteadily like a tape.
Sunlight filtering through swaying leaves, or sunlight reflecting off waves... Use modulation to freely design the dazzling reverberations brought about by Sunlight.

[Manipulate reverberation with performance dynamics]
Sunlight, billed as a "dynamic reverb," focuses on dynamics as well as modulation. You can freeze the reverb and control the LFO speed depending on the dynamics of your playing.
Turning the DYNAMICS knob from center to the left activates an envelope control that speeds up the LFO in response to input strength. Control the modulation, sometimes gentle and sometimes intense, with the nuances of your playing.
Turning the DYNAMICS knob from center to the right triggers the reverb only when the input exceeds the set volume. As you play, the reverb fills with new sound, fading out the previous reverb. When you stop playing, the tone within the reverb cycle repeats infinitely.

[Several new features that expand Sunlight]
The updated Sunlight not only supports stereo, but also features improved EXP and ALT switch functionality, and now supports MIDI control and sync.

- Filter cutoff, delay time, and WET volume can all be modulated with an LFO.
The DYNAMICS knob controls the reverb hold and LFO movement with the input volume. This "dynamic reverb" lets you manipulate infinite reverb with the nuances of your performance.
- ALT switch that allows you to not only freeze, but also tap tempo and select presets.
- EXP jack that allows control of single or multiple parameters from all knobs.
- Everything inside the pedal can be controlled via MIDI, and it can also be synced with external devices using MIDI Clock.
- Stereo input and output with analog dry-through - Trail bypass or true bypass.
350mA 9VDC center negative. Batteries cannot be used.
