Description
Description
This guitar, shipped around 1966, shines as a vintage instrument and is truly a collector's item. Highly original and in excellent condition, it allows you to fully enjoy the charm of the jazz bass, making it a great addition to any collection and also an excellent playable instrument.
【body】
Weighing approximately 4.0 kg, the alder body is finished in a rare custom candy apple red, a vibrant vintage color that still shines brightly. This color, with virtually no fading, is a beautiful reproduction of the original. The body back was fitted with a body cover, and while there are burn marks from the rubber on the body sides, there are no severe scratches such as buckle marks on the body back. While there is some weather checking and a few areas of paint chipping, as well as some slight dullness on the metal parts, the car remains in excellent condition. The body cover and all the metal covers are included, proving that meticulous care was given to every detail.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. The headtop is finished in the same candy apple red as the body, further enhancing its beautiful appearance. There is some paint peeling around the tuning machine bushings due to weathering, but like the body, it remains in excellent condition. The tuners are paddle pegs, a hallmark of this period and a favorite of many enthusiasts. While there is some variation in winding tightness, they function well. The frets and nut are original, with only minor wear, ensuring good playability. The headstock is 15.7mm thick, and the nut width is 37.0mm. Featuring a narrow A-neck, the slim, easy-to-play shape immediately delivers the silky feel of a traditional jazz bass.
[Electrical system]
This model features the classic two-volume/one-tone control system, a hallmark of the Jazz Bass. The pickups are gray bobbin-type, and all of the original electronics remain the same. Jazz Basses from this period are known for their expansive range and excellent picking response, boasting a comfortable bass and well-balanced tone. The richness of the tone, particularly in the midrange, makes this an ideal instrument for collectors and those who value playability, and it's sure to deliver a stunning tone in real-life performances.
