Masville's classic alder/rosewood P-BASS!
Fender Custom Shop vintage models are carefully assembled by hand using only the finest materials.
This guitar was created by senior master builder Paul Waller, who honed his skills under masters Bob Benedetto and Mark Kendrick, and who, since being promoted to master builder in 2010, is known for working on basses for Adam Clayton (U2) and guitars for Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones).
This instrument was custom-made based on a 1962 vintage slab-board bass bass guitar. It features an offset two-piece alder body joined on the treble side, a wide rim sunburst finish with a thick black border, and a heavy relic finish, giving it a realistic texture and a dignified 60's P-Bass that is close to the vintage version.
The maple neck is cut straight through and features a rosewood fingerboard with a moderate deep reddish-brown color.The pickup is a custom shop pickup with a flat pole piece, which delivers a balanced output that captures the rich sound of the high-quality wood.
It is a high-quality instrument that can only be found in a builder's work, with the rich flavor, punch, and power that are characteristic of the original Fender PB, and when played loudly it produces a bouncy tone with plenty of mids.
There is slight wear (gloss) on the fingerboard surface, and a square dent next to the bass string pickup (perhaps from where a thumb rest was attached), but other than that, since it is a heavy relic, the damage, such as paint chipping on the body and neck, appears to be original.
The neck condition, truss rod function, and frets are all in perfect condition, and there are no concerns about the electrical system or other functional aspects.
Please enjoy the builder-made P-bass, whose difference and depth stand out because of its simplicity!
