Description
Description
ATELIER Z is a long-established Japanese brand that enjoys enthusiastic support from bassists across a wide range of genres, both professional and amateur. This 5-string bass is part of the widely-known M# (Magnitude) series, the brand's flagship model. It also boasts a backbone crafted based on the wishes of Tomohito Aoki, making it a popular choice among musicians. This standard-spec model features an 18mm string spacing. It offers balanced playability that naturally accommodates both fingerpicking and slap playing styles, making it a 5-string bass that embodies the unique design of the player's brand, ATELIER Z.
While based on the '70s Fender JB, this guitar features a unique body shape designed to prevent the instrument from tipping over, the unique "Z Tuning System" low-action setting for a comfortable, moderate buzz, the powerful active sound of the Bartolini XTCT (with a mid-cut control inside the cavity), the brand's signature heavy-duty original bridge, and a thick clear guard and pickup fence for smooth thumbing and pulling during slapping, all of which are bassist-focused features. This instrument also features the latest master tone expansion design, allowing for subtle nuances even when using passive pickups.
The ash body delivers dynamic, powerful bass, a comfortable, tight sound image, and a coated one-piece maple neck for a fast, responsive attack. This instrument delivers the dynamic, clear sound of a '70s JB bass, delivered with a supple touch, making it a true player's gear. The full-size body produces a rich vibration, while the traditional neck, lacking graphite supports, provides an open resonance, creating a comfortable, rustic feel. This newly arrived instrument weighs approximately 4.35 kg, which is relatively light for our brand, yet still delivers a rich, solid, and powerful sound, embodying the brand's signature lush sound.
This instrument is custom-made with all woodwork in a see-through blue, making it truly "dyed in blue." In addition to the popular features often found in limited edition models, it also features gold hardware. The neck grip also features a fully gloss finish. Not only does it have a distinctive sound that's instantly recognizable, but the reliability of our workshop-made basses, with strict product quality control, is one of the reasons why so many bassists are captivated by them. Don't miss this opportunity to get your hands on this authentic model, one that will make a statement on stage or in the recording studio.
