Analog-to-digital conversion is the first critical step in audio production. Building on the acclaimed quality of the URX series, the UR-C series offers even higher sound quality with cutting-edge AD/DA converters supporting a maximum sampling rate of 192 kHz and 32-bit integer resolution. Furthermore, the hardware components have been optimized for these converters, accurately and transparently capturing every nuance and dynamic range of the recorded signal, preserving even the subtlest details throughout the entire music production process.

●D-PRE microphone preamplifier
The URX-C series features the D-PRE Class A microphone preamp. Developed by Yamaha's experienced engineers, this preamp features extremely flat response, designed with plug-ins and outboard gear in mind, capturing every nuance and expressiveness of the audio source. The URX-C series utilizes AD/DA converters supporting up to 32 bits/192 kHz, further enhancing the D-PRE's natural sound quality.

MIDI input/output
All URX-C series models are equipped with MIDI IN/OUT terminals, allowing you to directly connect MIDI input devices, sound modules, samplers, and other devices still popular with many studios and musicians, further expanding the scope of your music production by integrating them with the latest DAW environments.

DSP Monitoring & Effects: The custom-made SSP3 DSP chip provides a versatile and flexible monitoring matrix and powerful effects. It eliminates the monitor delay problem often associated with software music production environments, allowing you to freely mix audio data and input sources while utilizing DSP effects (Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip, REV-X, Guitar Amp Classics). You can create a latency-free monitor mix in various DAW environments via the aspMixFx URX-C mixer application (Mac/Windows/iOS/iPadOS). When using Cubase, TrueIntegrated Monitoring allows you to control these monitoring functions either from within Cubase or from the dspMixFx URX-C.

The URX-C is equipped with a loopback function, which is convenient for internet video distribution. The audio signal (line, guitar, microphone, etc.) input to the URX-C's input jack and the audio signal being played back from DAW software such as Cubase are mixed into two channels within the URX-C and sent back to the computer, allowing for internet distribution via streaming software. The URX-C's built-in DSP effects can also be used to apply reverb in real time, for example.
