Description
Rust Codec is a hybrid fuzz and delay device that combines a fuzz that can be continuously adjusted from a dense, shoegaze-like space-filling sound to a gated, choppy sound, with a delay that creates a unique lo-fi feel by repeatedly sending repeated sounds to the fuzz circuit.
[Fuzz]
Starve Control allows you to change the character of the distortion.
When turned all the way down, the sound is round, thick, dense and sticky, and from around 12 o'clock (center) onwards, a sense of distortion is added.
If you turn it up further, it changes to a gated fuzz sound with a crackling sound.
*Depending on the size of the input signal, the sound may start to cut out around 10 o'clock.
【delay】
You can switch between two sets of settings, Time1, Repeat1 and Time2, Repeat2, using the foot switch.
The fuzz and delay are closely connected, so it is not possible to use only the delay or get a clean delay sound.
The delay time is a minimum of 50ms, drops to about 300ms around 10 o'clock, and then increases to a maximum of about 1000ms with increasing noise.
The longer the delay time, the more lo-fi the repeats will be and the more noisy they will become.
*The pulse noise that disappears when you reduce the Repeat setting is a feature of the product.
●When you turn the Repeat control all the way down, the repeat sound disappears, the delay is turned off, and you can use it as just a fuzz.
The repeated sound passes through the fuzz circuit each time it is repeated, causing the sound to disintegrate with each repetition.
*When the Repeat control is set high, the Rust Codec will oscillate.
Please be aware that the volume may become loud unintentionally.
