Description

The long-awaited 6-string version of the popular NG-3 "Ferrari Geen" is finally being reissued as a regular model!

Dingwall has impressed first-call bassist Lee Sklar, who has participated in recordings and live performances with many famous artists, and has earned high praise from connoisseurs around the world for its distinctive FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, body balance, pickup placement, and more.

Combustion is a popular model that boasts high cost performance and quality comparable to higher-end models, thanks to its wood sourcing in Canada and the United States, wood processing in a factory in China, and assembly in a Canadian workshop. This model is a long-awaited reissue of the NG-3, the signature model of Adam Nolly Getgood, former bassist for the progressive metal band Periphery, finished in the popular "Ferrari Green" colorway from the band's early days.

The simple combination of an alder body and maple neck creates an open sound, while Dingwall's signature pickup arrangement allows for a wide range of tones, from crisp and solid to thick and powerful. Paired with a Darkglass preamp, the sound is bold and the midrange is impressive, with a tight, solid sound.
Furthermore, the NG-3 allows for a wide range of sound creation, including front only, front and rear, center and rear, and rear only.

The scale starts at 37 inches for the 6th string (B string), 34 inches for the 2nd string (G string) the same as a regular bass, and 33.25 inches for the 1st string (Hi-C), using the FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, which means that all strings produce well-balanced tension and a solid tone, and the low B string, with its tight swing range and well-defined contours, is also a major attraction of this instrument.

Fanned frets are a technology that has already begun to be adopted by many other brands under the name of multi-scale. They are designed to follow the natural movement of the arm, so if you play without thinking about the angle, it is surprisingly easy to play, and the body balance makes it seem like you don't even notice the ultra-long 37-inch scale.

The latest shipment comes with neck binding, which not only adds to the design but also improves the visibility of the side dots, prevents fret burrs, and by combining different materials on the neck, increases resistance to warping.

In addition, our experienced staff can also assist you with customizations such as adding a mini switch or attaching a strap pin to the body bag, which are options for Canadian-made models, so please contact us if you are interested.
