Models using cherry wood for the body, previously only available on higher-end models, are now making their debut in the more accessible Japan Tune-Up series. You can fully enjoy the brilliant sound unique to cherry wood, and the model is packed with the charm of cherry wood, including the coloring and design that incorporates the experience of many years of making cherry wood guitars.

This model incorporates "JS = Japanese Sakura" into its model name to indicate that it uses domestically produced cherry wood.
This guitar boasts a high-quality construction, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and laminated Japanese cherry wood for the sides and back.

The coloring features a see-through gradient, drawing on over 10 years of experience in manufacturing cherry wood guitars, highlighting the unique beauty of the wood grain, which varies from one instrument to another. Cherry blossoms are a symbol of spring, and Headway has previously created popular, fantastical designs that combine cherry blossoms with different seasons, such as "winter cherry blossoms" and "summer cherry blossoms." This model also follows a selection of colors from the seasonal color schemes that Headway has developed to date, delivering an instrument that transcends the conventional image of guitars to today's increasingly diverse music scene.
The headstock and fretboard feature cherry blossom motifs, a design element used in many of our Sakura guitar models. The material used is natural mother-of-pearl, whose luster changes depending on the angle of light reflection and viewing angle, further highlighting the unique character of this Sakura guitar. The fretboard is made of high-density Micarta wood, characterized by its deep black appearance, similar to ebony, and excellent durability.

With a maximum width of approximately 380mm and a maximum thickness of approximately 106mm, this compact body is easy for even smaller players to hold and fits comfortably against their body, allowing for relaxed playing. The cutaway design, which allows access to the higher frets, lets you enjoy a wide range of musical expression, from chord strumming to fingerstyle solo guitar.

The Headway Japan Tune-up series is a cost-effective series in which guitars assembled in Asian factories are literally tuned up by craftsmen at Headway's domestic workshops, resulting in guitars that are more user-friendly and refined.
Like Headway's higher-end models, it employs the "dovetail joint" and "post-set neck" techniques, which require high precision in manufacturing.
Additionally, it comes standard with a strap pin on the heel and is equipped with a FISHMAN pickup system.
With meticulous attention to detail to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable user experience, this lineup is confidently recommended not only for beginners just starting out on the guitar, but also as a second guitar for advanced players.
