The OD-FIVE 2 eXplosion is a drive pedal inspired by the sound of modern high-gain amps and features two independent controls.
Each of the two channels on the top and bottom rows has the same content, and you can switch between the two tones by changing the settings.
Remote on/off and channel switching possible via external terminal
■Two-channel independent controlsThe controls for the upper green channel and the lower blue channel are lined up side by side.The contents of both channels are the same, so you can use them to slightly change the volume of the same tone, or to go back and forth between crunch and ultra-high gain.
■ 3-stage gain band
It has three gain bands: ULTRA, LOW, and HIGH. LOW provides crunch to low-gain overdrive, HIGH provides mid-gain to high-gain overdrive, and ULTRA provides deep, intense distortion that's like high-gain with added distortion.
The tone controls consist of a MIDDLE that controls the thickness of the midrange and an EDGE that controls the high-mid to high range. By combining the two, you can achieve a wide range of adjustments. Yet, the range remains consistent without straying from the basic sound character, allowing for quick and easy setup when creating your sound.
■NORMAL / BRIGHT push switch The NORMAL/BRIGHT push switch on the rear panel serves as a calibration function for high frequencies, which can vary greatly depending on the amplifier, guitar, and other environments. When the switch is in NORMAL mode, high frequencies are cut. When pressed in, high frequencies are output in BRIGHT mode.
■REMOTE jack
By using the REMOTE jack, you can control channel switching and on/off from an external switch or switcher.
