~~~~~The following is the product description for a new item. ~~~~~
The Telecaster is one of Fender's flagship guitars. The original Telecaster was called the "BROADCASTER." Released in the early 1950s, the name "Broadcaster" was already registered as a trademark by Gretsch, so the model name decal was quickly removed and the guitar was shipped with only the Fender logo, nicknamed the "NOCASTER."
This is a limited edition 1952 Telecaster, a model used in many series.
The two-piece ash body is finished with a thin flash coat of Nocaster Blonde lacquer, revealing the grain. The one-piece maple is rift-grained, and the neck features a '57 V-shape finish with slightly thicker neck in the lower positions. The V-shape provides a slimmer grip than a Nocaster neck.
The fingerboard radius is a 7.25-9.5R compound radius, a feature found in the Vintage Custom series. This radius provides comfortable chord grip in the lower positions and a flatter, more playable radius for lead playing in the higher positions. This versatile design allows for low action action, too. The frets are slightly taller than standard vintage sizes. The neck grip, fingerboard radius, and fret size all contribute to an exceptionally playable neck.
The sound produced by the carefully selected ash body and one-piece neck is clear, crisp, and powerful, and you can experience it with just one chord. The thinness of the finish, which can be seen from the unevenness of the finish, and the natural resonance due to the lack of a buffed finish are excellent. The resonance of the body and neck will grow with playing, making this a masterpiece that will develop into a vintage sound in the future.
The hand-wound pickups deliver this incredible tone. Compared to standard machine-wound pickups, they offer a richer overtone and a more acoustically ethereal feel from the amp. The 50-51 Blackguard single-coil pickups are tuned for the original Fender tone, delivering a thick, dry Telecaster sound. You can really hear the fatness of the Custom Shop pickups.
The controls are custom-wired with a vintage-inspired "51 MOD NOCASTER" design. Each lever switch controls a different tone: the neck position utilizes resistors for a fat neck pickup sound, the center position provides a dynamic neck pickup tone bypass sound, and the bridge pickup provides a tone bypass sound with the addition of a blender control. This Mod. control is not a typical mix control, and it lacks a tone control, allowing for a more straightforward tone characteristic of the instrument.
The bridge is equipped with a vintage-style 3-way saddle. The saddles are, of course, made of brass, and the sound obtained from the 3-way saddle's non-tremolo structure is characterized by a direct, acoustic resonance compared to a Stratocaster. The sound is thicker than a Stratocaster, as you'd expect from a Custom Shop guitar!
This model is a reproduction of a guitar that was placed in a time capsule and opened in modern times. Unlike distressed relics, this guitar has a crisp, lively sound. Don't miss out on this hybrid Telecaster that combines vintage specs with modern elements from a different perspective!
