The signature model of John Taylor, bassist of the world-famous band Duran Duran, is now in stock!

This model is based on the Rio Dream Bass, which was produced in a limited run of 82 units worldwide, but with modified specifications and color, it has been added to the Ready To Play series artist model catalog.

The wood construction is a new combination that differs from the previous CC series and NG series, and features a Nyatoh (Natoh) body, maple neck, maple fingerboard with a "Rio Eye" inlay at the 12th fret, and a newly developed integrated bridge called "Minimalist."

The pickups are three FD3n neodymium magnets, providing a variety of sounds reminiscent of J, P, and MM types.
The Neve onboard preamp, a distinctive feature of this unit, was developed during the development of the John Taylor model, a first for Neve, as a result of the company's connection with Duran Duran, who used a Neve console when recording their album.
The simple operation with two EQs for treble and bass and the natural, clear variation like a clean booster produce a very rich low end and crisp high range that won't interfere with the ensemble no matter where you turn the knob, making it a great choice for both studio and live musicians.

Of course, like the higher-end models, it uses the FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, with the scale starting at 37 inches for the 5th string and the 1st string being the same 34 inches as a standard long scale, so all strings produce well-balanced tension and a solid tone, and the low B string has a tight swing range and a well-defined outline, which is also a major attraction of this instrument.

The FANNED-FRET SYSTEM (Multi-Scale), already adopted by many brands, has frets positioned to follow the natural movement of the human arm, so everyone who tries it out in store says it's "surprisingly easy to play." The body design, which doesn't even hint at the super-long 37-inch scale, also contributes to this.
