We have a used Recording Custom Birch Shell Snare Drum, 14" x 5.5", in Surf Green!
*There are signs of use such as scratches, dirt, rust, and dents.
A recording custom birch shell snare drum that inherits tradition while meeting the needs of today's drummers!
This model faithfully reproduces the unique specifications and sound character of the Recording Custom. By combining this with the existing Recording Custom metal shell snare drum, this model maximizes the possibilities of the Recording Custom series, which has evolved into a model ideal for modern recording environments!
Main Features: Well-balanced, standard size 14x5.5
This drum kit recreates the specifications and character of the newly redesigned Recording Custom drum set. The thin, six-ply birch shell with a sharp bearing edge delivers a powerful, solid mid-low range and powerful volume. This 14x5.5 drum kit features one-piece lugs with substantial mass, adding a tight sound with crisp sustain, further expanding the possibilities of the Recording Custom, which has evolved into a model perfectly suited to modern recording environments.
■Specifications and Features
Made from 100% North American birch, the 6-ply shell is 6mm thick, with a 30°/R1.5 bearing edge. The inside of the shell is painted dark brown.
The 14x5.5 is equipped with a one-piece lug to achieve the rich mid-low range, core-like sound, and sharp sustain that are unique to birch shells.

This drum features the same Q-type strainer found on Yamaha snare drums. It provides excellent stability when switched on and off, and allows for easy snare changes and adjustments during performance. The triple flange hoop provides an open sound and a wide tuning range.
