This one-of-a-kind fuzz pedal features a CHARACTER knob that seamlessly transforms the sound of the most famous fuzz pedals. The classic fuzz tones played by legendary guitarists of yesteryear, still talked about today as masterpieces in rock music history, have become iconic for modern rock guitarists. Wampler Pedals CEO Brian Wampler, who was captivated by those sounds, has spent his time researching the distinctive sound of vintage fuzz pedals, and has created the "Velvet Fuzz," a pedal based on those classic sounds and tones but with a more user-friendly, modern twist.
Now, Brian Wampler's long-awaited new release, "Cryptid Fuzz," features a unique CHARACTER knob that allows you to seamlessly control the legendary sound characters of each pedal. The "Fuzz Face" became famous after being used by Jimi Hendrix, and its fat, rough tone is said to be ideal for guitar solos, but it also boasts a brilliant clean tone in the high range when the guitar volume is turned down. The "Tone Bender," born in the UK in 1965, still inspires the curiosity of fuzz enthusiasts, with its unique sound characteristics depending on the version. The "Big Muff," a world-famous American fuzz pedal known for its intense fuzz sound and roaring tone, is also a great choice.
In addition, by using the control knobs on this unit, the ``Chime switch'' which adjusts the brightness of the sound, and the ``Tight switch'' which selects the bass response, guitarists can create anything from classic fuzz sounds to unique and impactful modern fuzz sounds, just as they imagine.
