◆Cover/SPECIAL PROGRAM
True History of Japanese Blues
?Back then, if you didn't play BLUES, you weren't human?

A major blues movement swept Japan from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s.
At that time, many legendary bluesmen, including B.B. King, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and Otis Rush, came to Japan one after another, and young guitar players who saw the real thing all became fascinated with blues guitar.
At the time, listening to the black bluesmen who were the roots of blues music was more cutting edge and trendy than Eric Clapton or the Rolling Stones.
In Osaka and Kyoto, bands such as the West Road Blues Band, Ueda Masaki and South to South, Breakdown, and Yuugadan were born, and blues sessions were held every night in various parts of the country outside of Kansai.
We would like to explore the history of blues in Japan through the valuable memoirs of more than 10 guitarists who were present at the time.
