Description
Description
Since its release in 1954, the Stratocaster has been beloved by guitarists worldwide. This latest arrival is believed to have been shipped in early 1962, with 1961 parts dating visible. This Stratocaster features a slab-laminated (flat-laid) rosewood fingerboard, and is modeled after not only Fender's reproduction models but also by many other guitar manufacturers. It is the most sought-after Stratocaster in history, and is also known as a rare item, with the original only being produced for around three years. Naturally, it has been used by many artists, making it a highly influential model.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.5 kg. The body is made of alder. The three-tone sunburst color, with faded red and black accents tinged with brown, exudes the beauty of a vintage guitar. While there is some weather checking, dents with paint chipping in places, paint chipping from the belt buckle, and tarnish on the metal parts, the guitar is in relatively good condition considering its age. While the pickguard has shrunk, there are no visible cracks and it remains in excellent condition. Several of the bridge saddle height adjustment screws have been replaced (the originals are included), and the back panel is missing. A bridge cover is included.
【neck】
The fingerboard is made of slab (flat) rosewood, boasting a stunning black finish. While there are some minor dents and discoloration on the metal parts on the back of the neck, there's almost no paint peeling on the back of the neck, and like the body, it's in very good condition. The decal logo on the headstock is still in good condition. The tuners have some inconsistency in winding, but they function well. The frets and nut show only slight wear, and playability is excellent. The headstock is 14.0mm thick. The nut width is 42.4mm. While listed as a "B" neck, the neck shape, which was not too thin for this period and provides a comfortable grip, will be familiar to slab tuners fans.
[Electrical system]
The controls are classic Stratocaster-style: 3-way pickup selector, master volume, neck (front) position tone, and center position tone. The pickups are black bobbins, and the controls are in perfect condition, including the original. Both live and plugged-in sounds are of excellent quality. The thick midrange, rich overtones, and sense of speed characteristic of the Slavic era are all here, delivering the vintage Stratocaster sound that countless guitarists covet.
