Description

Our flagship brand "BLACK SMOKER" now has the latest specifications with a 34.5-inch neck and PJ!

"BLACK SMOKER" is a handmade brand from BLACK CLOUD, a workshop in Nagano Prefecture, a mecca for musical instrument manufacturing where many brands are located. This brand has already gained popularity among many professional musicians for its high-quality sound, playability, and looks. It is a notable brand created by representative Kuroiwa, who has been involved in the design and manufacturing of numerous manufacturers and models, and young builder Yanagisawa, who co-creates it.

This cost-effective standard model has enjoyed consistent popularity since the brand's inception. Its simple, classic specifications allow you to fully appreciate the brand's true value, with custom accents added for practicality and individuality. While its alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard offer simple specifications, the carefully selected materials are immediately apparent upon first note. The neck shape, while slimmer for ease of playability, maintains the core of the sound, while the smooth setup allows for effortless playing. This bass truly conveys the instrument's quality of construction. The highly requested PJ pickups combine the powerful, resilient qualities of the P type with the distinctive J type sound, delivering a solid, usable sound that combines the nuances of both the PJ and PJ types while also offering a new texture. Furthermore, the 2-volume, 2-tone stack allows for versatile sound creation. Additionally, starting with the 5-string model, the neck is slightly longer than usual at 34.5 inches (876 mm), further improving intonation and separation at the lower frets while achieving a new setting that virtually eliminates fingering discomfort. The 21-fret, five-tuner set, a standard feature in the Standard Series, is still in place, providing a rich resonance without excessive peaking, making this a guitar that can be used for any style of playing, regardless of genre or sound, depending on the settings and playing style.

While the TradMaster models that have dominated the market in recent years have a lacquer and aged finish, this standard model uses a urethane finish, offering the same build quality but at a great price. This bass doesn't assert its individuality with treble attack or excessive power, but rather has a distinctive, "clear" sound that stands out when blended with other parts in an ensemble. This is the kind of model the modern bass has been looking for.

Due to the limited production numbers, this is a highly sought-after brand, and the number of units available is extremely limited. This bass is recognized by professionals for both its playability and sound, and its quality has already made a big name for itself in the scene.
