Used Yamaha Live Custom Snare Drums Now in Stock!

The LIVE CUSTOM drums are made entirely from oak, a material renowned for its unique drum shells. By molding the hard oak into thicker shells than ever before, not only does it produce a more powerful and powerful sound, but it also achieves the ideal resonance and separation for each shell, which is essential for creating a sound that is easy to pick up with a microphone.
You can choose from four luxurious color finishes, including dark silver-finished metal parts and paint that brings out the wood grain.
The strainer has also been redesigned as a "Q type," which not only provides stable on/off operation, but also makes it easier to replace and adjust the snare. Extensive testing has been done to match the hardware, enhancing the sound and appearance of the shells.

The 6-ply (7.2mm) oak is thicker than the oak used in Oak Custom. The increased thickness of the solid oak, along with the blunt 45°/1.5° bearing edge, emphasizes the bass, resulting in a more powerful, deep sound.

Highly durable shells are formed using an air-sealing method. Yamaha's unique high-pressure air-sealing method creates shells with uniform thickness, perfect roundness, and exceptional durability. The manufacturing process required to create a truly great-sounding drum requires highly skilled techniques. Yamaha's experience, knowledge, and technology gained over more than 40 years of drum manufacturing have enabled us to create drum shells made from the hard oak wood that is difficult to mold.

・Equipped with absolute lugs that are securely fixed with a single bolt and do not inhibit shell vibration. The luxurious and sophisticated design enhances the exterior.

- 2.7mm snare bed The 2.7mm snare bed is deeper than the conventional 1.8mm snare bed, accurately capturing the response of the snare (resonating wire) and fully responding to the subtle nuances desired by players.

- 2.3mm Dyna Hoop: The thick steel hoop (2.3mm) tightens the sound and brings out a tighter, sharper response.
