Description
Description
DOPHIX pedals have a distinctive look and sound thanks to attention to detail from concept to final product.
The product features an LED mounted on the base plate, which not only looks beautiful but also helps improve the visibility of musicians on stage.
The Galileo is a fully analog optical tremolo with versatile adjustments, tap tempo, and modulation controls.
The heart of Galileo is an internal analog oscillator controlling a high-quality photodiode that generates the tremolo. By enabling and disabling this matching, you can make Galileo's tremolo effect very natural without distorting the input signal.
When the GO footswitch is engaged, Galileo activates a tremolo effect and the output signal is modulated by a photodiode and oscillator. When GO is on, a blue LED is lit as feedback. When the GO footswitch is off, the input is bypassed and the input signal is routed directly to the output jack.
The TAP footswitch allows you to set the tremolo oscillator period as desired by pressing TAP. Each TAP trigger sets the start/stop of the oscillator period. At least two tap triggers are required to set the desired tap period. There is no need to respect the upper limit of the tap triggers.
Note: The maximum oscillator period is 1 second. If a longer TAP is requested, internal circuitry limits the TAP period to 1 second.
SPEED: In manual mode (SPEED MOD selector in center position), you can use the SPEED knob to manually set the tremolo speed as needed. Note: The maximum tremolo speed is 1 Hz (1 period per second). When TAP speed is active, manually controlling the SPEED knob will instantly control the oscillator in manual mode at the speed set by the SPEED knob.
DEPTH: Controls the amount of tremolo effect added to the input signal. With DEPTH set to minimum, there is no tremolo effect on the input signal. With DEPTH set to maximum, there is maximum tremolo effect and no signal is output when the tremolo photodiode is off. Intermediate positions of DEPTH allow you to adjust the mix between the input signal and full tremolo modulation.
SMOOTH: Sets the strength of the analog oscillator's influence on the photodiode conduction that creates the tremolo effect.
ATTACK: Sets the attachment of the tremolo to the oscillator settings. ATTACK allows you to set when the photodiode is active in relation to the amplitude of the oscillator signal.
SYM: The photodiode is turned on/off when the oscillator sine wave signal is at the peak/bottom of its amplitude. SYM sets the relationship between the oscillator waveform and the conduction of the photodiode by changing the peak/bottom positions of the oscillator.
DESCRIPTION
It can be powered by a 006P battery or a regulated 9V DC external power supply.
High-quality components, such as a true bypass switch and carbon resistors, are standard on Dofix pedals.
These produce the smooth sound that is characteristic of analog-like vintage equipment, and play a major role in establishing the tone character of each pedal.
