Description

[Rare Arrival! Used SPEED COBRA Drum Pedal Limited Edition Black Version Model Now in Stock!]

The SPEED COBRA drum pedal overcomes the dilemma drummers face: pursuing speedy movement without power, or pursuing power without speed. Now, a limited-edition matte black version of the SPEED COBRA, the HP910LWCB, is available in Japan, with only 100 units available! Copper-plated accents throughout create a bold look.

The Speed Cobra drum pedal incorporates a variety of new mechanisms while retaining the highly acclaimed stability and adjustability of the Iron Cobra drum pedal, which has been loved worldwide since its launch in 1993.
The incredible response speed achieved by new mechanisms such as the FASTBALL Bearing, which uses precision bearings similar to those used in computer hard disk drives, and the LiteSprocket, which is 40% lighter than the Iron Cobra drum pedal, produces the bass drum sound the moment the drummer imagines it.
In addition, the design produces a powerful sound with less effort, thanks to the Recessed Setting, which was designed based on the theorems of physics, the newly developed Super Spring, which provides an excellent balance of pressure and rebound, and the Fast Foot footboard, which is approximately 10% longer than the Iron Cobra drum pedal, allowing you to freely control all dynamics without causing tension in your body.
In addition, the smooth and stable feel inherited from the Iron Cobra drum pedal faithfully reflects even the subtlest nuances in the sound.

[Speed Cobra - Specifications]
●Fast Foot
The footboard is designed specifically for the Speed Cobra drum pedal, and is approximately 10% longer than the Iron Cobra drum pedal. By pressing on the heel side, which has a shorter vertical movement distance with the same force, you can improve your ability to handle fast passages.
Additionally, vertical grooves on the surface reduce the contact area, reducing friction with the sole of the foot, eliminating stress even during quick footwork with slide techniques.
●Recessed Setting
To sustain speedy play, a lighter pedal feel is required.
By adopting a chain system, the Speed Cobra maintains the traditional natural action while also paying particular attention to the positioning of the cam and chain to achieve a light pedal stroke.
The force with which the beater strikes the bass drum head is primarily generated by the force applied to the footboard. The greater the angle between the force applied to the footboard and the force applied to the chain, the less force is required to press down on the drum. Based on this physical principle, the footboard's starting point was positioned further back to achieve a comfortable, light feel. Furthermore, by changing the method of fixing the bearings on both ends of the shaft, loss due to bearing distortion was minimized, resulting in a drummer that requires approximately 20% less force to press down on the drum than conventional drums.
●FASTBALL Bearing
FASTBALL Bearing was developed based on the ultra-precision bearings used in PC hard disk drives and automobile ABS systems.
The Speed Cobra drum pedal's smooth and stable action is achieved through precise rotational movement, backed by ultra-precision machining technology, and its high durability, which does not compromise performance even in harsh environments.
●LiteSprocket
The cam (sprocket), which has a major impact on pedal action, uses a true circular wheel that offers natural action and outstanding control.
Compared to the Iron Cobra drum pedal cam, it is approximately 40% lighter, allowing for a lighter pedal feel.
●Super Spring
A newly developed spring with spring tension set so that the initial force required to press the footboard is light and the footboard returns quickly after the beater hits the bass drum head.
In addition, the combination with the Cobra Coil equipped on the underplate achieves smoother pedal action.
●Cobra Coil
This mechanism assists the footboard's return. The spring section can be moved back and forth to change the degree of return of the footboard.
●Projector Beater
The Projector Beater was developed exclusively for the Speed Cobra drum pedal to deliver a solid bass drum sound even with fast pedal work.
By giving the felt surface a mountain-shaped configuration, the power is concentrated in a narrower area of the bass drum head, producing a bass drum sound with excellent sound projection.
You can also rotate the beater head so that it hits the flat side of the felt for a punchy, powerful sound.
●Para-Clamp II
The hoop clamp's tip fits according to the angle, even when the front of the bass drum is raised.
The footboard can be securely fixed with a T-bolt on the side, and the height can be adjusted to suit the thickness of the wood hoop. Oils Bearing Hinge
Low-friction Oiles bearings are used in the hinge area between the pedal plate and heel plate to prevent the plate itself from wobbling sideways.
●Speed-Ring & Vari-Pitch Beater Holder
The Speed-Ring uses ball bearings in the spring roller that transmits spring tension to the beater, resulting in quick response. Combined with the Speed-Ring is the Vari-Pitch Beater Holder, which allows independent, stepless adjustment of the beater and footboard angles.
