Fender USA VINTAGE Telecaster '68 Laminate Maple Fingerboard Blond/M

The Telecaster debuted as the Broadcaster in 1950 and has since reigned alongside the Stratocaster as a signature Fender guitar model. It's a classic electric guitar, with not only Fender's original model but also models inspired by it being produced by various manufacturers.

The guitar we have in stock this time is a rare one made in 1968 with a laminated maple fingerboard.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.5 kg. The body is made of ash. The body is from mid-'68 or earlier, featuring an extra cavity extending from the front to the controls, and stamped dating can be seen under the pickguard. The Fender "Thick Skin" finish, a familiar poly base from this era, exhibits distinctive weather checking, a beautiful fading of the blonde color, and some paint chipping, dents, scratches, and tarnish on the metal parts. While retaining the charm of a vintage guitar, the finish is in excellent condition with a nice sheen. The switch and control knobs have been replaced with new ones.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple, with a maple fingerboard attached, commonly known as "laminated maple." There is weather checking and paint peeling around the headstock, dents on the back of the neck, burn marks on the stand, and signs of use on the neck side, but like the body, it is in good condition with a vintage feel. The tuners are slightly wound but function properly. The frets and nut have been replaced once, with little wear and good playability. The fingerboard was repainted during refretting. The headstock is 15.2mm thick. The nut width is 40.8mm. The neck shape is relatively sturdy.

[Electrical system]
The controls are current-wired for pickup mix. They include a 3-way pickup selector (neck/mix/bridge), volume, and tone. The high-pass filter capacitor has been removed (not included). The natural tone is rich with harmonic overtones, and when plugged in, you can enjoy a clear, crisp, and warm neck position, as well as a thick, crisp bridge position with excellent projection.
