Description
Description
The Mini K47 capsule design is based on one of the most famous capsules in microphone history.
The capsule is extremely balanced, with no harsh or accentuated high frequencies, reducing sibilance and rip noise when recording vocals and providing a pronounced weight and volume when recording electric or acoustic guitars.
Roswell Pro Audio has used its experience in modifying and upgrading microphones from other manufacturers to create the best circuit design.
The Mini K47's circuitry is designed to deliver a very clean and transparent sound that doesn't add anything extra to the quality of the sound captured by the capsule, while also significantly reducing the microphone's own self-noise and distortion.
To ensure superior performance right out of the box, all Roswell Pro Audio microphones are tested in-house for phase, noise, frequency response, and sensitivity before shipping. All Roswell microphones also come with a shock mount and flight case.
FEATURES
K47 style 34 mm single backplate, ultra-thin 3 micron diaphragm, ultra-clean transformerless circuit, audiophile-grade high-grade polypropylene, single capacitor, natural sound without exaggeration, outstanding sound clarity, high output, low self-noise and distortion
COMPONENTS
Capsule: The mini K47 utilizes a 34mm K47-style capsule. Roswell chose this capsule because it delivers a beautiful midrange, neutral detail, and a high end that's not overly exaggerated, unlike any other capsule.
Circuit: Many microphones in the same price range as the mini K47 use the 2SK170 JFET. This can sound great when properly integrated, but can increase the noise floor when paired with a high-input capacitance capacitor. Roswell Pro Audio pairs the JFET with a low-input capacitance capacitor, adjusting the bias of each to achieve the highest possible distortion-free gain.
Condensers: For those who enjoy modifying microphones, the input stage capacitors are the first parts to address. This is because many condenser microphones use low-grade ceramic or polyester box film capacitors in areas that most affect sound quality. The mini K47 uses high-grade polystyrene capacitors to achieve a natural, clean sound. Additionally, polypropylene film capacitors imported from Germany are used in the main signal circuit.
The combination of these components gives the Mini K47 a high-quality, natural and musical sound.
