Description
Description
Performance guitars are crafted by Japanese senior master builder Sugai in California using high-quality woods, creating an ideal environment for both Japanese and American instrument building! The uncompromising perfection spun by the high craftsmanship of the Japanese has earned the highest praise from numerous world-famous players, including Warren DeMartini, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Joe Walsh, and John Frusciante. Because each guitar is made individually, production numbers are extremely limited due to the strict attention to detail.
This guitar is made to the exact specifications of the one owned by John Frusciante, who has a long relationship with the factory.
The body is made of alder, the neck and fingerboard are made of maple, and the nut width is approximately 41mm. The neck grip is thin, providing excellent playability, and the satin finish makes it smooth and comfortable.
The hardware used is a Gotoh MG-T locking tuning pegs and a Hipshot tremolo bridge. Originally equipped with a Gotoh 510 bridge, this guitar was changed to a Hipshot at John Frusciante's request. While he seems to like the pitch control when using vibrato, this hardware also has a significant impact on the natural sound.
This guitar, which makes use of the skilled techniques of Mr. Sugai, the brand's founder and current master builder, produces a solid guitar sound that is now complete and full of originality.
The pickups, which produce a wonderful natural sound, are original pickups manufactured in the Performance factory. They offer a wonderful sound that combines ample output with a clear tone. While a wide range of sound is preferred, this pickup produces a solid sound without unnecessary highs or lows, resulting in a sound with excellent clarity.
Controls include a 3-way pickup selector, master volume, master tone with coil tap switch, and a kill switch. The humbucker output is sufficient, so even when coil tapped, it produces a sharp, powerful sound.
Their dedication to producing one-of-a-kind professional-spec instruments allows you to feel the inherent individual differences, in a positive way, of each instrument, which is something different from mass-produced instruments. Experience the skillful work of supreme craftsmanship!
