Description
Jay Rocket Audio Designs, a high-end effects brand from California, USA, has released the Uni-Verb, a pedal that brings new uniqueness and practicality to the table.
The Univerve is a pedal based on the idea of a legendary effect from over 50 years ago that became a household name overnight due to the unique sound it produced.The vibrato/chorus effect section has been evolved using current technology, and reverb has also been added, taking five years of development time.
This unit faithfully captures the distinctive sound of the original unit that inspired it, adding a touch of classic, high-quality spring reverb units from the 1950s. The Univerve offers a more user-friendly vibe section than the original, offering a wider range of vibrato or chorus effect speeds and a slightly higher output. The send/return jacks on this unit output a signal from the send output jack after passing through the vibrato/chorus circuit, while the signal input from the return input jack passes through the reverb circuit before being output from the output jack. This allows you to apply reverb to the final sound created by amplifiers and other effects. The Univerve is powered by a 9V DC (direct current) power supply, but this is internally boosted to 24V, eliminating the need for special cables or power supplies; a commonly available 9V DC power supply can be used. Furthermore, the Univerve features a true bypass design, which outputs the signal without passing through unnecessary circuits when the effect is off.
