Description

Fast, heavy, and deep. A thorough pursuit of a hard drive sound.

The Umbrella Company #24 is a distortion pedal designed to deliver hard-driven guitar sounds. The signal generated by the powerful power supply circuit delivers a powerful sound reminiscent of a full-stack amp and a speedy tone that exceeds the speed of sound.
The 3-mode gain range lets you adjust the boost amount according to the nuances of your playing. It perfectly matches your emotional expression, delivering a new dimension of playing feel. It's packed with unique functions, including equalization that manipulates density and gravity, and parameters that control only the sound pressure.
In the competitive world of distortion pedals, this is the ultimate weapon to bring back the golden age of distortion.

The 3-mode gain range is designed with the channel switching of a tube amp head in mind. The Crunch and Lead channels add an Accel Booster to the Normal channel's pre-boost section, which varies the boost amount according to the strength of the input signal, changing the gain range.
When a signal is input to the pre-distortion circuit, the boost amount increases exponentially, resulting in deep distortion. When there is no input, no boost is performed and the gain is reduced, achieving astonishingly low noise even during the slightest gaps in your playing. Dynamic boost amount control delivers a new level of sharpness and clarity that perfectly follows your playing intentions.

● Normal (center switch)
From preamp-like settings that enhance clean sounds to mild boosts and solid drive tones that bite into the strings, the main distortion is mixed with an edge in the mid-high range to create a sound with presence that doesn't get lost in the ensemble. Processing the signal along two routes gives it a three-dimensional feel. (Note: The volume will be lower compared to the left and right.)
● Crunch (switch right)
A treble boost has been added to the pre-boost section. It combines deep distortion with a powerful core, while maintaining a clear tone without crushing the low frequencies too much. Turning down the gain creates a lighter distortion, adding definition to complex chord playing. Enjoy the subtle changes in sound with the Density SW.
● Lead (left switch)
A full-range boost has been added to the pre-boost section. It delivers a hard, full-throttle distortion sound that's both fast and smooth. It's perfect for everything from mind-blowing backing tracks to space-shredding solos. We've focused on designing a sound that delivers deep distortion while still bringing out the frequency range you want to hear.

Pressure Circuit (X knob)
The X knob adjusts the sense of sound pressure. By boosting only the low end, which is at the very edge of the frequency response specific to guitar amps, it allows for control of sound pressure that was previously not possible with simple bass equalization. It even reproduces the vibrations and undulations of the air produced by large-diameter speaker cabinets.
Emphasizing the X and strumming a power chord creates a swaying sustain. Bridge-muting the bass strings creates a heavy, fast, and electrifying sound. Even single notes are picked distinctly, and even in high positions there's no sense of lightness. Unlike typical bass controls, it doesn't directly affect the tone, so you could say it's a parameter that controls the "air" or "atmosphere" itself. Give it a try and experience it for yourself.
If you feel the pressure is too strong, you can adjust it with the internal trimmer, or you can increase it further if you feel it is not enough.

Density section
The Density switch changes the density of the sound, adding a multifaceted character to the sound. It adjusts the texture of the distorted sound with the boost, and adds compressor and de-esser-like processing. It processes with envelope control, emphasis/de-emphasis, etc. to increase the density of the sound and add crispness and brilliance.
■ OFF (switch center)
From preamp-like settings that enhance clean sounds to mild boosts and solid drive tones that bite into the strings, the main distortion is mixed with an edge in the mid-to-high range to create a sound that stands out and doesn't get lost in the ensemble. Processing the signal along two routes gives it a three-dimensional feel.
■ Density High-Mid (switch right)
The sound density is concentrated in the high-mid range, pursuing clarity and separation of each note. The strings are clearly separated, producing a pleasant sound that clearly resonates even intricate phrases with detailed notation.
■ Density Low-Mid (switch left)
The sound density has been shifted to the low-mid range, adding thickness and a center of gravity, resulting in a more popped and crisp response, like a ball that's been overinflated.

The power supply circuit, which is the source of circuit operation, employs an isolated DC/DC converter. This converts the input 9V into a high-quality power supply with a wide voltage range and bipolarity of plus/minus 12V. This maximizes the sense of speed and sound pressure, solidifying the core of sound quality and improving basic performance.
