Description

"Exhibition Limited 2021" is now available, allowing you to experience the unique charm of ESP, which boasts overwhelming technical capabilities from design to installation!

This product condenses the appeal of custom-made products offered by ESP.
ESP, a pioneer in custom-made guitars and basses, has created the Exhibition Limited series, which uses its extensive experience and knowledge to actually create the instruments and visually demonstrate to users the appeal of custom-made products in an easy-to-understand way.
This series is made by bringing together the artisanal skills that have been accumulated over the years, using luxuriously rare wood from the vast stock of wood that has been collected over the years, and including extremely time-consuming wood processing, special paint with a strong experimental meaning, and special handmade hardware. It is a truly supreme masterpiece that combines the best sound and beautiful looks at a high level.

As in previous years, the 2021 Exhibition Limited produced a large number of attractive guitars and basses, and Grandy & Jungle were awarded three of them.
This is a piece based on the popular MYSTIQUE, an evolution of the traditional style.

The offset-design body features a flat top finish, different from the regular MYSTIQUE model, and the top is made of a material called "REX wood." This REX wood is made by placing wood in a special container with paint and other materials in a vacuum and impregnating it. Woods like buckeye burl are stabilized to a uniform hardness, making the hardness itself an ultra-hard material. The paint penetrates into the wood, giving it a unique color and highlighting the grain.
In addition to its looks, REX wood is also excellent as a tonewood, and when used as a top material with a moderate thickness, it has the property of providing excellent sound conductivity.
The back of the body is made of roasted ash, which complements the REX wood perfectly. Furthermore, the neck end of the body is tapered by approximately 10mm, which prevents the sound from becoming too boomy even when the front pickup is selected, while the rear pickup produces a full, rich sound. The thicker body end also contributes to improved sustain.
Roasted ash is a wood that goes well with REX wood, so many of the bodies in this Exhibition Limited model are made with "REX wood + roasted ash." However, ash has become a valuable wood in recent years, so the use of a one-piece material can be said to be a luxurious specification unique to the Exhibition Limited model.

The slim U-shaped neck is crafted from Indian rosewood, providing a comfortable grip without being overly slender. The rosewood neck's tapered construction provides a firm, centered tone, perfectly complementing the clarity of the Rex wood and roasted ash body, creating a comfortable feel that will have you playing for hours. The fingerboard features a combination of Rex wood and pearl inlays, wrapped in Rex wood binding, and premium cocobolo wood, with Jescar frets for a meticulous finish.

The pickups, fitted with the same cocobolo covers as the fingerboard, are Seymour Duncan Custom Shop 59/JAZZ Hybrid (neck pickup) and 59/JB Hybrid (rear pickup). Both pickups combine different coil models, a feature unique to Custom Shop pickups. However, Duncan's 59, JAZZ, and JB have been highly popular classics for many years, and their tone nuances are very easy to use, while their moderate power makes them suitable for a wide range of genres.
The bridge is an ESP Custom Lab FB20-6 Brass -Direction-. Developed specifically for the Exhibition Limited, it features thicker side and back walls and increased plate mass for long sustain and a tight low end. The multi-faceted cut ensures a secure grip in the right hand. Mounting screws are also provided on both ends of the front of the bridge for secure attachment to the guitar body.
The bridge and escutcheon are engraved, and the volume and tone knobs, switch knob, and scalloped brass nut all have an antique finish.

While the certificate enclosed with regular custom-made and limited edition models is made of paper, this Exhibition Limited model comes with a special acrylic certificate attached to a hard case, which is also heavy and special.
Not only is the finish artistic, but when you actually play it, it has a very well-balanced, stress-free sound, and even though it's an electric guitar, you can enjoy a pleasant, live sound.
This series can truly be called the ultimate, condensing ESP's unique outstanding technology, the instrument-making know-how it has cultivated over many years, and the enthusiasm of its craftsmen to challenge themselves with innovative and new methods.
Not only is this a one-of-a-kind gem, but most of the pieces sold at Exhibition Limited each year are distributed overseas, so they are rarely sold domestically.
It's a pricey guitar, but you'll definitely appreciate its value, and it's one you'll own for the rest of your life.
