◎A unique housing structure is used to pursue the reproduction of the original sound. The sound field is wide, and the sound positioning and depth are accurately reproduced, making it feel as if you are listening to a performance right in front of you. In addition, because the air flow is not obstructed, the reproduction capabilities of the driver can be maximized.

Equipped with a newly developed high-performance driver, it outputs clear and rich bass frequencies that were difficult to reproduce with conventional open-air headphones. The ear pads are made of a memory foam material that conforms to the shape of the ear, allowing the sound emitted by the driver to be delivered to the eardrum without any loss.

◎By adopting a "flat wire voice coil" using ribbon-shaped wire, we have succeeded in making the voice coil smaller and lighter. It achieves excellent transient characteristics and responds quickly to even the most minute electrical signals. The gap between the magnet and voice coil can be made smaller, improving sensitivity.

The diaphragm is a "two-layer diaphragm" made of two different materials, and employs our unique "Varimotion Technology" that varies the thickness between the center and outer edge. This improves damping characteristics and suppresses split vibrations while maintaining high-frequency characteristics.

◎ Equipped with large ear pads that cover the entire ear, they maintain a comfortable fit even during long periods of monitoring. Made of smooth velour material, they provide a high-quality feel.

VariMotion Technology, a technology exclusive to AKG headphones, optimally controls diaphragm movement by varying the thickness of the diaphragm's center and outer edges. The thick "SOUND ZONE" in the center suppresses distortion-causing split vibrations, resulting in extremely clear high frequencies. The thin "MOVEMENT ZONE" on the outer edge supports smooth movement of the "SOUND ZONE" when outputting high frequencies. When outputting low frequencies, it works together with the "SOUND ZONE" to operate like a large diaphragm, producing powerful sound.

Two-Layer Diaphragm: This diaphragm is made by combining and bonding together thin films made from two materials with different vibration damping characteristics. It achieves high damping performance, attenuating unnecessary vibrations that cannot be completely eliminated with a normal diaphragm, resulting in clear, crisp reproduction of the mid- and high-range frequencies.
