●Performance that surpasses human hearing "To create a perfect product, you need to compromise on additional features to a certain extent and focus on the essential functions. The LCT 540 SUBZERO is a groundbreaking product, but each and every individual function is essential, and this product would not have been created without any one of them," recalls Roman Perschon, CEO of LEWITT.

"We spoke to our endorsers, who are experts in their respective fields, about the performance they wanted from a single-pattern microphone. Their valuable feedback was used in the development of the LCT 540 SUBZERO, helping us to create a crisp, clear sound and the ideal microphone. In developing this product, we were able to achieve the ideal high performance while keeping the price within a realistic range. We are extremely pleased with the results!" concludes Perschon.

The threshold level of human hearing varies depending on the frequency band. As shown in the diagram below, sensitivity decreases in the high and low ranges, with the 2-5kHz band being the most sensitive. The self-noise of the LCT540 SUBZERO is below the threshold level of hearing in all bands, demonstrating performance that exceeds that of human hearing.

●PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT - Over 4,500kg Measurement Equipment The more sophisticated a product becomes, the more difficult it becomes to inspect and measure it. It is essential to prevent external noise interference from affecting the measurement results. Preventing this interference is particularly difficult in the low frequency range. To achieve this, Lewitt has developed and manufactured a proprietary measurement equipment weighing over 4,500kg, more than 10 times the size of conventional equipment. This measurement equipment reduces sound pressure in each frequency band by 1/10,000, reducing the 20-20kHz band by 60dB and the high frequencies by 80dB.

Why low self-noise is important: When recording vocals or instruments, subtle details can be masked and buried by the noise floor. The LCT540SUBZERO captures details that many microphones miss with crystal clear sound.

For anyone struggling with self-noise issues in post-production: Using the LCT540SUBZERO for recording will solve many noise problems. By compressing the audio signal, you can instantly discover subtle details that would otherwise be buried in the noise floor.
