A dynamic microphone that brings out the best in vocals with powerful, clear sound quality.
- Uses unique VariMotion technology that appropriately controls diaphragm movement by changing the thickness of the diaphragm at the center and outer edge.
It delivers crystal clear high frequencies while capturing the power of low frequencies in their entirety.
The D5 and D5 S feature a sharply honed supercardioid polar pattern, which is resistant to noise from the left and right and reliably picks up sound sources from the front, even in noisy or reverberant environments.
The D5 C and D5 CS have a uniform cardioid polar pattern across the entire frequency range. The sound quality and volume do not change significantly even if the mouth is slightly off-center, making them ideal for vocals with a lot of movement or for speeches by people who are not used to using microphones.
- The maximum sound pressure level reaches 156dB for the D5 and D5 S, and 160dB for the D5 C and D5 CS, allowing even high-pressure sound sources to be picked up clearly without distortion.
The microphone capsule and microphone body are connected with two rubber rings, significantly reducing handling noise thanks to the patented double-flex shock mount. A mesh filter is also included to reduce pop noise.
