Description

Arcade Dreams Reborn...
It may be a bit of a stretch to describe Ottobit Jr. as just a bit crusher.
While reproducing the sound of the SID chip found in classic game machines, the combination of analog synths and synth filters will help you indulge in imaginative playing.
The Stutter (a repeated sound that sounds like it's been chopped up using waveform editing) and sequence functions are groundbreaking.
Stutter sound (a sound like a chopped waveform) is sequenced (8 steps) with pitch, filter, and crash to create a chiptune-like sound.

Meris pedals have high headroom, capable of handling up to +12.5dBu.
This makes it possible to easily handle high-power input signals such as those from synthesizers.

To be honest, it's a difficult pedal to use.
However, from the moment you get your hands on it, it will undoubtedly become a worthy rival that will stimulate your imagination, from song production to live performances.

It also supports line level, making it a great choice for music production.
It's easy to crash hi-hats and loop sounds, or add choppy sounds with the Stutter function.
I think it would also be interesting to use it on vocals as well as synths.
Unlike plug-in bit crushers, it doesn't just reduce bits, it adds musical elements to them.

MIDI, Expression and Preset...
It will be even more effective if you connect a MIDI connection (requires MIDI I/O) or an expression pedal.
The possibilities are endless, such as using expression to control the filter and bit crush amount to create synth sounds, or controlling stutter patterns via MIDI to match your music.
In addition, the separately sold preset switch allows you to save four presets.
