About S3V
The S3V is a three-way, vertically-mounted studio monitor designed primarily for mid-field use, but also capable of performing well in more compact environments.
Low frequencies between 32Hz and 250Hz are reproduced by ADAM's new 9-inch ELE low-frequency driver (Extended Linear Excursion). This driver is equipped with ADAM's new SMA (Symmetrical Magnet Assembly), providing extremely accurate reproduction all the way down to the sub-bass region. For mid- and high-frequency ranges, ADAM's new 4.5-inch DCH midrange driver, combined with the highly sophisticated S-ART tweeter, delivers faithful reproduction with analytical precision. The S-ART tweeter, in turn, features an HPS waveguide, providing extremely detailed imaging and natural, deep high frequencies across a wide sweet spot.
The custom-designed DSP in the S Series not only optimizes crossover settings to achieve linear response across a wide frequency range, but also offers user-configurable EQ and voicing/tuning functions to adapt to room acoustics. It also features a high-frequency limiter for excessive input power, AES3 digital input, and future expansion options. Software updates are possible via the built-in USB port, and DSP functions can be controlled from software on a computer by connecting the speaker to the computer.
The S3V's built-in amplifiers consist of two separate Class D amplifiers (500W and 350W RMS respectively) for the low-frequency and mid-frequency drivers, and one Class AB amplifier (100W) for the S-ART tweeter.
The S3V reproduces the frequency range from 32Hz to 50kHz with perfect precision, making it the ideal monitor for those seeking high-definition sound images and clear positioning.
