Description

★New standard ribbon microphone

Since its release in 1998, it has been a hot topic among renowned engineers overseas, and is now the standard ribbon microphone for engineers and studios both in Japan and overseas. Its tough construction means it can withstand any recording situation with a maximum SPL of 135dB.

Ideal for electric/acoustic guitar, percussion, brass, strings, piano, harp and vocals.

Stereo pair matching is available as an option.

◆Offset ribbon technology (patented technology)
Technology used in all R-series microphones.
The ribbon is positioned slightly forward of the center to maintain full frequency response even when recording at high SPLs.

◆2 Mic in 1
When miking within 90cm of the subject, the tone will be slightly different between the front and back.
The back side has a slightly brighter response than the front side with the logo.

*The rear side is not suitable for recording high SPL. Use the front side for recording high SPL.
Use a pop filter on vocals.
The reverse side is negative polarity.

◆Overturning conventional wisdom about ribbons
Royer ribbon microphones are more than just reproductions of vintage ribbons.

While maintaining a natural, warm sound, the R-series successfully overcomes ribbon's fatal drawback of high sound pressure. We've finally created a tough ribbon that can withstand 135 dB of sound pressure (R Series). Furthermore, the high S/N ratio and high output achieved by carefully selected parts and low-noise FETs are the culmination of Royer's craftsmanship.

The Royer ribbon microphone can be used for a wide range of applications, from vocals and brass to piano, guitar amps, and drums. You will be amazed and pleased with its delicate and fresh sound.
