Description
Description
The award-winning 710 Twin-Finity combines the retro warmth of tubes with the transparency of solid-state in a radical mic preamp design packed into a 2U half-rack footprint. The 710 was created to add the sonic versatility and inspiration missing from standard audio interface preamps.
Its unique tone-blending capabilities allow you to continuously vary between 100% tube and 100% solid state without phase issues. Offering a virtually limitless range of tones, it's easy to create your own unique sound. A 19-inch rack kit is included for mounting one or two units.
Key Features: - Harness the sonic characteristics of both tube and solid-state in one unit - Blend tube and solid-state sounds for a wide range of textures and tones - Powerful and versatile mic preamps - Easily track guitars, basses, and keyboards using the front-panel 1/4" Hi-Z input
Incredibly flexible mic preamp
The key to the 710 Twin-Finity's versatility lies in its innovative circuit design. The microphone input signal is amplified simultaneously, without phase shift, by a 310V single-ended Class A triode tube stage and a solid-state transformer-impedance stage before being sent to the output. The front-panel Blend control (∞) allows you to freely mix these signals from 100% tube to 100% solid-state. This allows you to control a wide variety of preamp tones, making it easy to create your own unique sound.
Drive for Days: Like other UA preamp designs, the 710 features dual gain stage controls (Gain and Level) that allow you to crank up the input gain like a guitar amp, dramatically changing the amount of coloration and distortion. The VU meter features a unique Drive mode, making the status of the input stage immediately apparent.
