★Dynamic microphone ideal for kick drums

◎ Fat and punchy sound when used on kick drum ◎ Captures both the attack and internal resonance of the beater ◎ Also suitable for vocals, percussion, voice, guitar and bass amps, organs, and brass instruments ◎ Kick switch uses a passive filter to cut a portion of the low-mid range centered around 350Hz ◎ High boost provides a 6dB boost to the upper midrange and high frequencies from 2 to 10kHz

The M82 was developed to stand out in a crowded market as a superior alternative to industry-standard kick drum microphones and large diaphragm dynamic microphones.

The M82 is hand-assembled and rigorously tested at TELEFUNKEN's facility in the USA. With its large 35mm diaphragm, the M82 has exceptional characteristics, especially in the low frequency range.
It's also a very sturdy microphone.

Two independent EQ switches, KICK EQ and HIGH BOOST, allow you to shape your sound. These two EQ switches function independently, but when used in combination, they offer a total of four unique settings that easily provide the response you want.

Comes with a stand mount adapter and protective zippered case.

●KICK EQ
The KICK EQ switch uses a passive filter to cut some of the low-mid frequencies around 350Hz when processing the kick drum, allowing you to emphasize the low end while preserving the boxy sound. It is specifically tuned as an EQ for kick drums.

●HI BOOST
The HI BOOST switch boosts the upper midrange and high frequencies from 2 to 10 kHz by 6 dB, giving the kick drum a more beater attack. This switch means the M82 can be used with both vintage-style kick drums and more modern styles. Use it with vocals, guitar amps, or other sources to emphasize the airiness of the high frequencies.

Although the M82 was designed specifically as a kick drum microphone, two EQ switches allow it to be adapted to a wide range of sound sources, including vocals, percussion, broadcast sound, guitar and bass amplifiers, organs, brass instruments, and more.

Used on kick drums it provides a fat and punchy sound.
Instead of setting up multiple microphones for the kick drum as is typically done in drum recordings, you can capture both the attack and internal resonance of the beater by simply placing a single M82 inside the head hole.

The M82 has a U47 style body due to the shape of the head grille.
The rugged body and headgrille in a sleek black finish have been rigorously tested to ensure the M82 can handle its heavy-duty duties in the studio or on the live stage.
